Great call and response chant at Qwest Field in Seattle during the DC United match 6.18.09. The Emerald City Supporters (ECS) down in the South end got it started with the “Seattle”call and soon the North End Supporters (NES) got going with the “Sounders” response. The rest of the stadium gets in on the act and the rest is history. Best atmosphere in MLS bar none.

Some quick thoughts:

1. I love seeing Toronto FC and Columbus Crew potentially in the same group. If you don’t know why you better ask someone. This might be the most hate filled rivalry in MLS.
2. I have a hard time seeing NYRB getting past W Connection. Sad but I see Red Bull trying to focus on getting it’s act together in the league.
3. Another chance for Houston and Pachuca to build on  their budding rivalry if the Tuzos can get past their first round opponents.
4. Can D.C. United make up for a horrible CCL campaign in 08/09? Given current form my vote would be D.C. coming back strong this CCL term.
5. Obviously the Mexican clubs have to be considered favorites particulary UNAM and Toluca.
